International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) centralizes immigration advising resources and co-curricular support programming for international students and scholars on campus. Our goal is to serve the needs of our international students and scholars and to enhance their experience in the United States and to integrate them into our community, while also contributing to their success during their tenure at SJSU and beyond.
San José State's Accessible Education Center (AEC) is a comprehensive center providing both students and employees with accommodations and services. The AEC works closely with faculty, staff, programs and departments to deliver services and promote access for students with disabilities in the classroom and throughout the campus.
International House is a co-ed residence for 70 U.S. and International students attending San Jose State University. The House is located within a short walk of the SJSU campus and is a large, comfortable home with friendly interaction among students of many cultures.
The CSU requires all international students to purchase health insurance through the university provider as a condition of registration and continued enrollment.
International students may apply and qualify for merit-based scholarships. Need-based scholarships are part of Financial Aid and are not available to international students.
International Gateways offers academic and TOEFL preparation courses on the San Jose State University campus to help international students develop the English skills necessary for admission to American colleges and universities.
